A small earthquake rattled parts of southern Illinois on Tuesday morning.
According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake, which measured 3.0 on the Richter Scale, shook the area just after 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday. It was centered 4 miles east of Pinckneyville or about 25 miles northwest of Carbondale.
There have been no reports of damage.
