Some storms, then warmer through the coming week

Mom got treated to a beautiful weekend, but thundershowers are part of the warming trend over the coming week.

Chances of showers and a few thunderstorms increase from south to north this evening and turn more numerous on Monday. Additional showers and isolated thunderstorms will redevelop during the heat of the the day on Tuesday.

Temperatures will trend above normal through the second half of the week into the 80s, nearing 90 degrees by Thursday when more humid conditions are expected.

The next period of unsettled weather returns Thursday afternoon through Saturday. There is some severe weather potential on both Thursday and Friday, but uncertainty is high so far.
