According to the Caldwell County Sheriff's Office, 32-year-old Jerald Wayne Swetland was arrested on Saturday.
Swetland was wanted on a Caldwell County District Court warrant for first-degree assault.
The charge stems from a reported shooting on September 20th on Old Wilson Warehouse Road.
Deputies say that when they arrived on the scene, they found 47-year-old Colby Phillips, of Princeton, with a gunshot wound. Phillips was flown to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville for treatment.
Swetland was taken to the Caldwell County Jail.
