Police are seeking to locate a man was who reportedly fled from a traffic stop in McCracken County on Tuesday.

The McCracken County Sheriff's office said they tried to pull over 37-year-old Michael Allen Young while he was driving on Old US 45 near St. John’s Church.

They said Young did not stop and led them on a chase that officers discontinued for safety concerns because of Young’s dangerous and reckless driving.

Young also allegedly discarded suspected drug-related evidence from the vehicle during the chase.

Deputies later found the vehicle abandoned near North 11th Street and Fern Avenue in Paducah.

Young is charged with fleeing or evading police, wanton endangerment, tampering with physical evidence and possession of a controlled substance.

Young is believed to have ties to the McCracken County area. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office or other local law enforcement.

Meanwhile, police advise that the public should not try to approach or apprehend him.
