Teen charged with robbery in Ledbetter

A 17-year-old in Livingston County was arrested in connection with a robbery involving a suspected drug transaction.

According to the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a business parking lot in Ledbetter around 11:30 p.m. on Sunday.

They learned that two juveniles had arranged to meet at the location for a drug transaction. During the encounter, they say one of the juveniles reported being robbed at gunpoint.

They identified the 17-year-old and took the teen into custody. Deputies said they also seized a 9mm handgun with a drum magazine.

The juvenile is being held at the McCracken County Regional Juvenile Detention Center Paducah on charges of robbery and possession of marijuana, with more charges pending.
