Tennessee woman arrested on cocaine charge in Murray

A Tennessee woman was arrested on a cocaine charge in Murray last week.

On Thursday night, an officer with the Murray Police Department conducted a traffic stop on North 12th Street.  The driver, 40-year-old Tamara Aguilar of Martin, was arrested for DUI, and the department’s K9, Bonnie, alerted to the presence of narcotics in the vehicle.  

Police said a search led to the discovery of cocaine.  As a result of the investigation, Aguilar was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance along with traffic violations.
