Murray couple arrested on drug charges in Marshall County

A traffic stop in Marshall County resulted in drug charges for a Murray couple on Tuesday.

Marshall County deputies stopped a vehicle near the intersection of US 641 and Union Hill Road following traffic violations.

Deputies said they found the vehicle operator, 48-year-old Jeremy Varner, in possession of suspected methamphetamine. Based on this, deputies conducted a search of the vehicle.

The passenger, 49-year-old Brandi Varner, was found in possession of suspected hydrocodone.

The two were lodged into the Marshall County Detention Center on charges of possesson of a controlled substance.
