Three people face charges after an alleged assault and robbery in Calloway County.

The Calloway County Sheriff's office said they responded to a home on Cambridge Drive in Murray on October 17. The victim, 64-year-old Leslie Davis claimed that an unknown man entered the home, pistol-whipped her and stole several items. Security camera footage captured the suspect's vehicle in the victim’s driveway around the time of the robbery.

Deputies reported that they do not believe the attack was random. They found illegal drugs in the home and they said there were signs of drug trafficking in the home. Davis was arrested and taken to the Calloway County Detention Center, charged with trafficking in a controlled substance and tampering with physical evidence.

During the investigation, detectives identified 43-year-old Michael B. Lane of Kevil and 60-year-old Marla Salas of Hardin as the suspects. On October 20, investigators applied for a search warrant in Marshall County which led to the apprehension of Salas, who was already lodged at the Marshall County Detention Center. Later that evening deputies located and arrested Lane in Ballard County.

During a search in Ballard County, investigators recovered a handgun believed to be connected to the assault which had blood spatter on it, along with other items of evidence. Lane and Salas were charged with burglary and robbery.
