Traffic stop in Lyon County landed two in jail on drug charges

A traffic stop in Lyon County on Friday landed two women in jail on DUI and drug charges.

The stop happened at about 4 p.m. Friday along US 62. Deputies said the driver of a small truck, 60-year-old Margarita Roman of Cadiz, was believed to be intoxicated. A search is said to have found both Roman and her passenger, 34-year-old Brittany L. Harris of Eddyville, in possession of methamphetamine and marijuana. Both were arrested.

Roman was charged with DUI, possession of meth, possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance, and a host of other violations. Harris was charged with possession of meth and possession of a legend drug.

Roman and Harris were taken to the Crittenden County Detention Center.
