Traffic stop leads to arrest of Cadiz man

A traffic stop on South Road in Trigg County Sunday night led to the arrest of a Cadiz man on drug charges.

WKDZ reported Trigg County Sheriff's deputies as saying they stopped a vehicle driven by 59-year-old John Staples for traffic violations.  When searched, Staples was found to have methamphetamine in his pocket and it was also found in the vehicle.

Staples was charged with possession of meth and possession of drug paraphernalia along with speeding, no registration, driving on an expired license and no insurance.  He was lodged in the Trigg County Jail.
