Traffic stop nabs Paducah man wanted on drug warrants

A traffic stop on Saturday nabbed a wanted Paducah man accused of trafficking in illegal drugs.

The stop happened on Saturday along US 60. McCracken County Sheriff’s deputies stopped the vehicle and identified 55-year-old Charles Hammonds of Paducah as a passenger. Hammonds was wanted on a warrant issued following a search of his 5th Street home back on October 22nd.

Hammonds was not at home during the search, but detectives reportedly found cocaine, methamphetamine, Suboxone, methadone, and marijuana, plus smoking pipes and scales.

Hammonds was arrested and charged with trafficking in meth, marijuana, suboxone, and methadone in addition to possession of cocaine.
