According to KYTN, an official with the Samburg Volunteer Fire Department said the tanker, loaded with 3,000 gallons of water, overturned in a sharp curve while on the way to assist with a field fire.
The driver was taken to Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City for treatment, while a second firefighter who was ejected from the cab of the truck, was airlifted to Regional One Health in Memphis for treatment.
Both firefighters reportedly were released from the hospitals.
