Two people were hurt in a two vehicle accident Monday afternoon in Graves County.

The Graves County Sheriff's Office said they were called around 4:45 pm to KY 129 at KY 94 in Pilot Oak.

Investigators said a northbound vehicle on KY 129 operated by 43-year-old Steven R. Vaughn of Dukedom began to make a left turn from KY 94 west onto KY 129 and entered the path of a motorccycle operated by 65-year-old William Counsell of Union City, TN.

Counsell braked and turned to the left to try to avoid Vaughn but the two vehicles collided, ejecting a passenger, 52-year-old Laronda Campbell of Hornbeak, TN, from the motorcycle.

Counsell was taken to Jackson Purchase Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries while Campbell was transported by Air Evac to a Nashville area hospital for treatment of her injuries.

Vaughn was not injured.
