Two people reported shot in pair of Mounds incidents

Multiple law enforcement agencies are on scene of separate shooting incidents Sunday night in the community of Mounds, Illinois in Pulaski County.

Reports say that at least two individuals have been shot at this time per multiple reports. There are at least two different scenes where shootings have occurred.

WFCN reports that there is currently a major police presence throughout the community from Illinois State Police, the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office, Mounds Police Department, and other agencies. 

Police are currently working this morning to obtain evidence and video footage from nearby residents.

No other details have been released so far.

Mounds is in southern Illinois in Pulaski County, 15 miles north of Wickliffe.
