Utility worker injured in Marshall County shooting

A contract utility worker was wounded in a shooting incident Wednesday morning in Hardin.

Marshall County Sheriff's deputies were called at about 8:30 a.m. to the Hilldale Apartments in Hardin. A contract employee of WK&T was working at one of the units when he was apparently hit by some type of projectile. Deputies and detectives found the victim and he was taken from the scene by the Marshall County Ambulance Service before being put on a helicopter for a flight to Baptist Health Paducah.

The unidentified victim was listed in stable condition, last night. The incident remains under investigation. 

The Sheriff's Office sees this as isolated and does not believe there is a threat to the public.
