Two Venezuelan men have been indicted on larceny charges after allegedly stealing money from a pair of credit unions in Paducah.

The indictments were handed down in January and stem from incidents in October of 2025, when 24-year-old Leonel Ramones-Ramos and 21-year-old Luis Olivares-Davila allegedly took over $1,000 from the two institutions. The two men are in the United States illegally.

On Friday, Ramones-Ramos made his first court appearance in Paducah. Olivares-Davila will appear later, as he is facing separate federal charges in the Northern District of Texas. Both men are being held in federal custody while they await trial. If convicted, they could forfeit up to $80,000 and spend up to 10 years in jail.

There is no parole in the federal system.
