Walker named new Director of Marketing and Communications at WKCTC

West Kentucky Community and Technical College has named Whitney Walker as its new director of marketing and communications. 

Walker succeeds Janett Blythe, who is retiring December 15 after 30 years at the college.

A graduate of Rhodes College in Memphis, Walker brings a wealth of marketing and sales experience to her new position at WKCTC. 

A multi-faceted marketing manager, she has most recently served as the sales and marketing director at the Paducah-McCracken County Convention & Expo Center (PMCCC) since May 2022. 

Before her work with the PMCCC, Walker served more than seven years as the executive assistant and marketing coordinator in Cincinnati, researching, planning and executing marketing efforts, and everyday operations for 25 affiliate companies with The Jurgensen Companies. 

Walker begins work at WKCTC on January 2.
