Yet another late season heat wave this week

The National Weather Service in Paducah says that yet another late season heat wave is set to impact our region this week. 

The heat starts to build into the region on Sunday, then a weak front should provide somewhat cooler conditions on Monday. The high Sunday will be 94, and 92 on Monday.

The peak of the heat looks to be Tuesday through Thursday. Highs are forecast to be in the upper 90s, with heat index readings ranging from 102 to 106.

The latest trends appear to be slower breaking down the heat dome, so it’s quite possible the 90 degree temperatures continue into Friday and possibly even into next Saturday before relief finally arrives.
