A traffic stop early Tuesday morning in Marshall County resulted in the arrest of a Gilbertsville man.

The Marshall County Sheriff’s Office says deputies made a routine traffic stop for traffic violations on US 62 at the Grand Oaks Road intersection at approximately 1:54 am.

Their investigation found the driver, 48-year-old Shannon Key, to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine and related paraphernalia.

During the investigation, Key began removing his clothing and exposing himself to passing motorists, despite being told by deputies to stop.

Key was arrested and taken to the Marshall County Detention Center, charged with drug and traffic offenses, as well as an indecent exposure offense.
