The Paducah Chiefs suffered their first loss of the young season when they fell to the Hoptown Hoppers 10-5 on the road Monday night.

The Hoppers bunched their runs together with a 4-run second inning and a 3-run eighth. They pounded out 15 hits to remain undefeated for the season, and atop the Ohio Valley League at 4-0.

The Chiefs were led at the plate by Jevan Andrews with a 2-run homer. Marshall County's Maddox Cope cracked a double for Paducah's other extra-base hit.

The Chiefs (2-1) host the Henderson Flash (2-2) on Tuesday at 6:30. On Thursday, they're on the road to visit the Full Count Rhythm.
