The University of Northern Iowa ran away from the Murray State Racers 89-60 on Monday at the CFSB Center.
The Racers (18-8) fell to 10-5 in the Missouri Valley Conference, into a second-place tie with Bradley.
The first half saw the Racers go cold on offense and defense as the Panthers sprinted to a 22-9 lead, but Murray battled back to cut the UNI lead to 32-27. UNI (16-9) scored at the buzzer and the Racers trailed at halftime 39-29.
There was little going right for the Racers in the second half and they were outscored 50-29 in just their second home loss of the season in 13 games.
Four Racers did almost all the scoring, led by Fredrick King with 14, KJ Tenner 13, Roman Domon 12 and Javon Jackson 11.
The Racers travel to Terre Haute Thursday to play the Indiana State Sycamores at the Hulman Center at 6 p.m..
