Mason Ramsey, Fireworks In Golconda Tonight

The city of Golconda will light up the skies tonight with fireworks for the first time in 35 years, and host a performance by their hometown internet sensation Mason Ramsey.

To honor the rise to fame of the "Walmart Yodeling Boy" this year, Golconda officials will award Ramsey with a key to the city, and will present road signs recognizing Mason's achievement that will be placed at the city limits.

Ramsey will also perform a free concert for his hometown fans, to be followed by a lighted boat parade on the Ohio River, and a 45-minute fireworks display.

The festivities will get underway at 5 p.m. with kids activities and inflatables on the courthouse lawn, helicopter and horse & buggy rides, and food vendors.

At 7 p.m. will be the presentations by the mayor, and Ramsey's performance on the courthouse lawn. Also performing will be Classy and Grassy.

The boat parade is scheduled for 8:30, and fireworks around 8:45 p.m.
