The Kentucky Department of Education (KDE) released new reopening guidance on Monday on school workplace health and safety amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

The document, “COVID-19 Considerations for Reopening Schools: Workplace Health and Safety,” provides information on how to create healthful environments for employees and students in the return to school. It also encourages districts to work with their local health departments and agencies to ensure their policies continue to align with state and federal guidance.

The document includes plans for and details on a variety of topics, including health and safety teams, and mitigation strategies, and includes links to resources and support.

More guidance and resources can be found on KDE’s COVID-19 webpage.
