The Calloway Couinty Sheriff's Office says Text to 911 service is now available to residents.

The Calloway County E-911 Communication Center recently launched Text-to-911, allowing individuals to text emergency dispatchers when calling 911 is unsafe or not possible.

How to Use Text-to-911:
• Text 911
• Include your location and emergency
• Reply to all dispatcher questions
• Text only — no photos, videos, or group messages

When to Text Instead of Call:
• If you are deaf, hard of hearing, or have a speech disability
• During situations where silence is critical
• When a call won’t connect but a text may go through

📞 Calling 911 is still the fastest option when it is safe to do so.
