Car fire in Eddyville blocks US 62 for a time

A vehicle caught on fire and blocked US 62 in Eddyville on Saturday afternoon.

The Lyon County Sheriffs office posted that a vehicle became engulfed in flames on US 62 near US 641 and Chestnut Street.

It took crews about an hour to deal with the fire and clear the scene.

No other information was released.
