Crittenden County Judge-executive Perry Newcom announced Friday that the Ohio River Ferry Authority and operators of the Cave-in-Rock Ferry have secured another licensed pilot and will resume regular operating hours beginning Saturday.
A search began last October for an additional licensed riverboat pilot with a passenger endorsement. Now the ferry can resume its regular operating schedule from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. seven days a week.
The last run from the Illinois side is at 9:40 p.m.; last run from the Kentucky side is at 9:50 p.m.
