Crash in Mayfield sends two to the hospital

A crash on Thursday in Mayfield sent two people to the hospital.

According to Mayfield Police, it happened at KY 80 and Cuba Road. Officers said that a vehicle driven by 43-year-old Marada Givens of Mayfield was heading west on KY 80 and attempted to turn left to head south on Cuba Road. When she made the turn, she reportedly collided with an eastbound vehicle on KY 80 driven by 31-year-old Allison Anderson of Greenbriar, Tennessee.

Police thanked pedestrians in the area for giving aid to the drivers of the two vehicles until first responders arrived.

Givens and Anderson were both taken to Jackson Purchase Medical Center with what were described as minor injuries.
