Crash on Benton Road sends two to the hospital

A single-vehicle crash on Benton Road Sunday sent two people to the hospital.

The crash happened on Sunday evening just before 9 p.m. McCracken County Sheriff’s deputies said that a car driven by Robert Hughes was heading east on Benton Road near Pugh Road when he reportedly lost control and ran off the road. The car then flipped over and hit a utility pole. Hughes and his passenger, Roland Bishop, were taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Hughes was later sent to an out-of-state hospital.
