Crash on Old Mayfield Road damages utilities

A crash on Old Mayfield Road damaged a gas meter and took out a utility pole Wednesday morning.

The crash happened along Old Mayfield between Clarkline Road and Bristol Drive. A single vehicle ran off the road hitting a utility pole and bringing down power lines. The car also damaged a gas meter in the front yard of a home. Crews worked to repair the pole and the gas meter.

The cleanup blocked Old Mayfield Road for a couple of hours.
