Dump truck crash west of Calvert City closes US 62 for several hours

A crash knocked down poles and dropped utility lines along US 62 just west of Calvert City had the road closed for most of Friday afternoon and evening.

The crash happened just after 7 a.m. on US 62 between Industrial Parkway and Patterson Road. Sources said that a dump truck crashed and took out several poles, bringing wires down across the road. 

Thr truck was removed and power was restored on Friday night.
