A high-profile murder case could be heard in Christian County.

WHAS-TV in Louisville reported Thursday that the case of three men charged with the disappearance of Crystal Rogers in Bardstown almost 10 years ago will likely be heard in Hopkinsville.

Brooks Houck, Steve Lawson, and Joseph Lawson are charged in connection to Rogers’ death

Rogers car was found on Bluegrass Parkway west of Bardstown.  Her body has never been found.

One of the primary reasons for a change of venue is media coverage.  The case has been heavily covered by Louisville and Lexington media and even on the national level.

If a Nelson County judge agrees to move the trial to Christian County, a hearing that was scheduled for next week regarding the trial site will likely be canceled.

The trial is set to begin next February.
