Demolition of former Cadiz grocery store to begin Monday

A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) is scheduled to begin demolition of the former Wilson's Grocery building in Cadiz on Monday. 

The building is located at the corner of KY 139/Jefferson Street and KY 124/Cerulean Road.

Traffic impacts during demolition are expected to be minimal. However, flaggers will be present to assist motorists in the work zone whenever equipment enters or exits the site via KY 139.

This work is part of a $872,000 project to realign and reconstruct the KY 139/KY 124 intersection.

The project is expected to be completed in its entirety by November 15.
