Dorena-Hickman ferry closed until Friday

The operators of the Dorena Hickman ferry have posted that the ferry is closed on Tuesday and Wednesday this week, and it will be closed for Thanksgiving on Thursday.

Because of recent rains, the Dorena-Hickman ferry was able to reopen on Saturday and Sunday after being closed since Labor Day due to low water levels on the Mississippi River.

The ferry will run on its regular fall schedule as long as the river level is high enough.
