FBI intercepts threat to a school in Hickman County

A threat against a school in Hickman County was intercepted on Tuesday by the Paducah office of the FBI.

The Hickman County Sheriff's Office said agents in the FBI's Paducah office alerted them to a social media post that contained a school threat. The investigation reportedly revealed that the threat came from a student in the Hickman County school district. Investigators made contact with the parents of the student and they along with the student were interviewed. 

According to the Hickman County Sheriff's Office, the student is suspended from attending school and charges are pending.
