Fire damages Woodlawn Church in Paducah

No one was injured in an overnight fire at Woodlawn Church in Paducah.

According to the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office, the Reidland, Lone Oak and Hendron Fire Departments were called to the church late Friday night at the intersection of Benton Road and Woodlawn Church Road.

Deputies said the road was shut down at that intersection until around 3:15 a.m. on Saturday.

Pastor Henson called the fire “significant” and said it happened in the old youth room. He said the smoke impacted the entire facility.

Pastor Brad Henson posted that no one was injured and shared his thanks to the fire crews who responded.

According to Henson, they will have service on Sunday at 10:15 a.m. in the Great Room at First Baptist Paducah at 2890 Broadway.
