A Florida man was arrested in Paducah on Tuesday afternoon who was wanted in connection with an ongoing investigation.

Police had received a complaint that 45-year-old Don Gray of Gulf Breeze had traveled from Florida to Paducah and committed multiple offenses.

Officers met with a victim who reported that on Dec. 20 a man, later identified as Gray, had showed up unexpectedly at her workplace after traveling from Florida.

She told them there is an active domestic violence order prohibiting Gray from being near her or her place of work.

According to police, the victim told them that after leaving work, she walked to a nearby motel to meet a friend. As she went upstairs, she said Gray grabbed her and forced her into his room where he held her against her will. Gray is accused of physically assaulting the victim.

While looking for Gray, officers received a tip from the public and found him on Bechtold Road in Paducah on Tuesday.

He's charged with assault, kidnapping of an adult and violation of an emergency protective order or domestic violence order.
