A gas leak in downtown Paducah closed three blocks of Broadway for several hours on Sunday afternoon.
Atmos Energy reported an incident just before noon. They said about 200 customers were affected.
At the same time, police evacuated all businesses, homes, and apartments in the affected area as a precaution.
Gas service was restored to most customers by Sunday evening. Atmos said on Monday morning that about 50 customers were still without gas service. Representatives with Atmos are trying to reach those individuals to coordinate reconnection.
Atmos is still working to determine the cause of the rupture in the gas line.
