Gas prices rise slightly in region this week

Gas prices in the region made an upward climb this week.

Triple A's East Central Gas Report released Monday indicated prices were up two cents this week to $2.53 per gallon.

Paducah's average price is three cents lower than the regional average at $2.50 per gallon. 

Kentucky's average price this week is $2.69 per gallon, which ranks as the 8th least expensive in the nation.

Nationally, the average this week is $3.05 this week, up two cents from a week ago.
