Maxon Road grass fire turns out to be illegal burn

Concord Fire Department was called Friday morning to a home on Maxon Road for a report of a grass fire.

Firemen found a small portion of grass had gotten out of control due to an illegal burn.  It took them about three minutes to put out the blaze.

Kentucky residents are reminded that it is spring wildfire hazard season until April 30. During this time, it is illegal to burn between the hours of 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. in or within 150 feet of any woodland or brushland.
