State police say death reported in Princeton fire was homicide

The death of a 93-year old Princeton woman is being investigated as a murder, according to Kentucky State Police.

Princeton firefighters responded to the 11000 block of South Jefferson Street for a fire Thursday evening. After they arrived, they requested the Caldwell County sheriff to come to the scene, and later KSP joined the investigation.

Deputies said they determined the death of Dorothy Sparks was a homicide.

Her body was sent for an autopsy. State police have not released any additional details.
