A man wanted for a stabbing incident in Paducah was arrested in Missouri.
Paducah Police officers responded to a local hotel Tuesday night after receiving reports of multiple men fighting. When they arrived they learned the individuals had been drinking which led to a fight.
The victim, a 40 year old man, reportedly told officers he had been stabbed with a knife during the altercation. The suspect, identified as 26-year-old Ricardo Esquivel Garcia of Mexico, fled before officers arrived. The victim was taken to a local area hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Detectives determined Esquivel Garcia was at a home in St. Charles County, Missouri. Detectives with the St. Charles County Police Department found Esquivel Garcia at the home and arrested him on warrant charging him with assault.
Esquivel Garcia was lodged in the St. Charles County Corrections Center awaiting extradition.
