A six month investigation led to the arrest of a Marshall County man Thursday on child pornography charges.
The Graves County Sheriff's Office said they were alerted in March that child pornography was being downloaded to a location in Graves County. Once they identified the IP address, they continued to work to identify the suspect who was living at times in Graves County, northwest Tennessee, and in Marshall County.
Evidence recovered from a series of search warrants led to the identification of the suspect, 20-year-old Michael T. Cole. Cole was located and brought to the Graves County Sheriff's Office Thursday morning.
He was said to be found in possession of child pornography on an electronic device that was in his possession. Authorities also said Cole was uploading the images on to Snapchat in an attempt to sell them.
Cole was charged with distribution of matter portraying the sexual performance by a minor under the age of 12 and possession of matter portraying the sexual performance by a minor under the age of 12.
