Marshall County man jailed on child porn charges

A six month investigation led to the arrest of a Marshall County man Thursday.

The Graves County Sheriff's Office was alerted in March that child pornography was being downloaded to a location in Graves County. Once the IP address was identified, the investigation continued into identifying the suspect, whom was living at times in Graves County, northwest Tennessee, and in Marshall County.

Evidence recovered from a series of search warrants led to the identification of the suspect,  20 year old Michael T. Cole..  On Thursday around 11 am, Cole was located and brought to the Graves County Sheriff's Office 

He was found to be in possession of child pornography on an electronic device that was in his possession. It was also revealed that Cole was uploading the images on to Snapchat in an attempt to sell them.

Cole was charged  with distribution of matter portraying the sexual performance by a minor under the age of 12 and possession of matter portraying the sexual performance by a minor under the age of 12.

Cole wastransported to an out of county detention center. The investigation is continuing
