Mayfield accident injures two

Two people were injured in a traffic accident Thursday in Mayfield.

Mayfield Police said the two vehicle collision occurred at the intersection of North 6th Street and East James Street.   A vehicle operated by 47-year-old Melinda Lee of Boaz collided with a vehicle driven by 52-year-old Ernestine Lee of Mayfield after reportedly disregarding a stop sign.

Neither driver was hurt but two passengers in Lee's vehicle were taken to a Paducah hospital for treatment of injuries.
