According to the McCracken County Sheriff's Office, on September 30 deputies began investigating after a juvenile girl had been dropped off at McCracken County High School, when school officials say they noticed she was acting strangely, and called for help. She was taken to a local hospital and treated.
Deputies learned that the girl had allegedly gone with a friend to a home on Metropolis Lake Road in West Paducah where deputies say she was given a THC vaping device. She told officers that she immediately began feeling sick, and was then dropped off at the school.
After the incident, detectives obtained a search warrant for the home on Metropolis Lake Road where they allegedly located THC vaping devices, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and other evidence.
A 16-year-old male was taken into custody from the home, and is being charged with two counts of trafficking marijuana, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
More charges are expected as the investigation continues.
