PADUCAH, KY - Paducah attorney Mark Edwards faces a misdemeanor charge in connection with a party for teens at his house after last weekend's Lone Oak homecoming victory over Calloway County.
"Our investigation concluded that there were juveniles drinking alcohol in the house with Mr. Edwards knowledge," said Sheriff Jon Hayden.
A neighbor called authorities about the party on Kimbrell Drive. Deputies arrived shortly before 1 am Saturday.
Edwards now faces a misdemeanor charge of unlawful transaction with a minor 3rd degree.
Edwards also does a weekly web cast for Lone Oak High School.
Thirteen students were at the party when police arrived. Eight have been charged with possession of alcohol by a minor. More charges are possible, as some students were seen leaving as deputies arrived.
Edwards is due in court October 18th.
