Benton Man Hurt in Oaks Road Crash

A Benton man was taken to the hospital Friday morning, after a crash on Oaks Road.

At around 8:00 am Friday, the McCracken County Sheriff’s Department responded to a two vehicle crash at the intersection of Oaks Rd and Hovekamp road.      

Police said 60-year-old Carolyn Costello had been traveling west on Hovekamp road, when she stopped, and then proceeded to cross Oaks road. Costello told police that she didn't see 50-year-old Jack Clark Jr. of Benton as he was driving north on Oaks Rd. and pulled out in front of him. When Clark struck the driver’s side of Costello’s car, both vehicles ran off the road, coming to rest in a ditch.

Clark was taken to Baptist Health Paducah by ambulance for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
