The body was recovered by search crews on September 18 after someone spotted it and notified Massac County Dispatch. At that time, McCracken County Sheriff Matt Carter asked anyone with information about missing persons to contact his office.
Carter told West Kentucky Star Tuesday that there are no leads in the case. He said the white male is listed as a John Doe.
McCracken County Coroner Dan Sims said an autopsy showed no foul play, and that the body could have floated to the area from upstream or downstream, considering recent water levels on area rivers.
