Renovations are ongoing at the former Whaler's Catch building, where Broussard's hopes to open this spring.
“Shortly after the first of the year we will begin accepting applications for members of the management team,” said general manager Patrick Abbott. “Once that team is in place, we’ll determine how many bartenders, kitchen staff and wait staff we will need. Overall, we expect to hire more than 50 team members in Paducah.”
Plans for the Paducah location include two levels of dining, a large outdoor patio space, a walk-up bar, outdoor games, and catering.
In a press release, the Broussard's owners said they are grateful for the Paducah community's excitement regarding the new restaurant. Jason Coalter, a partner in the project, said, “It’s great to see the people of Paducah embracing us and getting excited about our endeavor. People are so eager for us to open the doors! We’re working as fast as we can and will open sometime in the late spring. We should have a better handle on a possible date in the coming weeks.”
Owners Hunter and Stephanie Clark added, "Our Cape customers are excited too. They think it’s wonderful to see us expanding. We’ve had to reassure a few people that nothing will change in Cape – we’re not moving, but growing!"
