Fulton, McCracken, Livingston and Marshall County officials have lifted the burn bans imposed last month.

County Judge-Executives Jim Martin, Craig Clymer, Garrett Gruber and Kevin Neal signed the orders lifting the bans on Wednesday.

As of Wednesday evening, a burn ban is still in effect in Crittenden County. The Calloway County Sheriff's office said Monday that burning is still prohibited in the city limits of Murray.

Burn bans generally prohibit the burning of leaves or debris, use of fireworks, campfires, charcoal grilling and most other outdoor fires.

Meanwhile, the state of Kentucky has placed restrictions on burning during their fall wildfire hazard season. Burning is not allowed between 6 am and 6 pm in or within 150 feet of woodlands, brushlands or fields containing dry grass or other flammable materials. The restriction is in place from October 1 until December 15 each year.
