Two Paducah residents were injured Saturday morning in an accident at the intersection of Lovelaceville Road and Mayfield-Metropolis Road.

A McCracken County Sheriff's Deputy responded to the scene at 7:45 am. He learned that 21-year-old Katlyn Hamlet was eastbound on Lovelaceville Road. When she reached the intersection, her vehicle struck a car attempting to cross, driven by 52-year-old Jeanna Kendal, who said she didn't see Hamlet's vehicle.

After the collision, Hamlet's car entered the parking lot of Big Ed's Concrete and hit a parked pickup truck.

Hamlet and Kendall were both taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries. A 16-year-old passenger in Kendall's car was not hurt.
